Horses and Horse Riders at Estoril

While it’s still mainly a high society thing, Portugal has a long history with horses. It’s no surprise that next 1st, 2nd and 3rd of July, Estoril will be receiving the Portugal Horse Riding Competition GCT (Grande Prémio de Portugal de Hipismo).

This is the most prestigious horse riding competition in the country and will include 30 of the 35 best qualified horse riders worldwide. It will feature some of the Olympic, World and European Champions, including Jos Lansink (World Champion), Kevin Staut (European Champion) and Pius Schwizer (Wold Number 1).

Estoril is considered one of the best tracks in this competition.
