Greek Day Returns to Kitsilano

Opa!Vancouver’s Greek community comes together this weekend for a big celebration on West Broadway when Greek Day 2010 returns to the heart of Kitsilano. This is one of the liveliest festivals in Vancouver presented by the Canadian Hellenic Congress of BC supported by the Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce and West Broadway Business Association.

All along the west Broadway corridor, following the theme of “Unearthing our Legacy”, the festival will focus on bringing people of all walks of life together and introducing them to the Greek culture.

There will be an Athenian Agora with a marketplace at the Macdonald St. entrance.  Entertainment includes Super Paradise Disco, a cooking demo zone featuring roaming celebrity chefs, excellent Greek food,  Greek music and dancing and a 2010 World Cup Soccer Tent where you can watch 2010 World Cup matches live. There will even be a kid’s zone.

This is a real Hellenic extravaganza so be sure to come on down to West Broadway at Macdonald and enjoy the festival and fun.
