Movies on The Mall: Screen on the Green
In it’s 5th year, Screen on the Green bring Hollywood blockbuster movies such as Goldfinger and 12 Angry Men under the stars on the National Mall in Washington DC.
Bring a blanket and your picnic to the National Mall and enjoy free movies on the 20-foot by 40-foot screen with the US Capitol Building as it’s backdrop. But arrive early to secure the best spots. This year’s cinematic schedule includes 4 classic films, all presented on Mondays, at sunset.

Knox, as James Bond tries to stop him and save the richest gold bank in the world.
The Goodbye Girl – July 19 – The Neil Simon screenplay starting Marsha Mason and Richard Dreyfuss (who won an Oscar for the lead role) tells the cute tale of about a self-absorbed out of work actor, forced by circumstances to share a cramped New York apartment with his buddy’s ex-girlfriend and her precocious young daughter.
12 Angry Men – July 26 – One of the greatest courtroom murder dramas to come out of Hollywood, a lone man (Henry Fonda) sitting on a jury stands up against 11 “guilty” votes, as he seeks the truth as the 12 men search for justice and retribution. An all-star cast including Lee J. Cobb, E. G. Marshall, Martin Balsam and Jack Klugman earned this numerous Academy Award nominations.
Bonnie and Clyde – August 2 – Depression-era bank robbers Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow head across country on a murderous bank robbing spree, continually tracked by the law and one ornery Texas Ranger determined to bring them to justice.
