Miracle Man: Oh My Aching Back!

I would not be standing (literally) if it wasn’t for Dr. Sender Deutsch at Shape Health & Wellness.

Plagued with a really bad back my whole life, there have been months on end when I have had to put my life on hold while I painfully and slowly recuperate.  However, two years ago, when it seemed as though I was destined for major back surgery, I visited Sender at the advice of a friend.  To say that he changed my life would be an understatement.

One of the creators and founders of Shape, Sender’s multidisciplinary approach to treatment was just what the doctors ordered.  His use of ART (Active Release Therapy) and some traditional chiropractic techniques restored my mobility and left my surgeons in disbelief of my almost immediate improvement.  His attentive nature, follow through and follow up has been extraordinary.

Shape offers a comprehensive list of services from personal training and physiotherapy to massage therapy and nutritional counseling.   All staff is well educated, professional and at the top of their field.

So if you find yourself in Toronto and need the hands of a miracle man to get you back on your feet – call Sender.   Tell him I sent you.

An interesting and unique travel tip, Jane. I battled sciatica pain for several years in my late 20s. Initially my chiropractor brought great relief, and later yoga and weight loss helped me virtually eliminate it, though I still experience residual problems after long hikes (in excess of 10 miles) or secondary injury like a fall. People who have never had back problems don’t understand how quickly they can flare up – and how inconvenient and incapacitating they can be.
