Summer movie nights at the Outrigger Reef
Located on world famous Waikiki Beach, the Outrigger Reef on the Beach [map] is perfectly situated for unlimited access to Oahu’s sandy playground and vibrant nightlife. In addition, it was recently named Orbitz‘s 2010 Best in Stay award-winner and also ranked among the top 5 Honolulu hotels by TripAdvisor travelers. Room rates start at $169, and include a host of luxuries amenities and free hotel activities and events. One of the hotels special summer series is its poolside movie night. This summer, guests can enjoy Hawaii-inspired films in the comfort of the hotel’s open-air theater and enjoy cocktails and food from the Kani Ka Pila Grille.
June 12: Watch the surf roll in during this summer screening of “Blue Crush” at Outrigger Reef on the Beach’s poolside lanai. Relax on lounge chairs and enjoy the show.
July 10: Date night in Hawaii just got easier, with this July screening of “50 First Dates.” With much of the film shot on Oahu, guests will have fun recognizing famous Hawaii landmarks while enjoying the outdoor ambiance.
August 7: Revisit the romance and charm of old Hawaii with this end-of-summer screening of “Blue Hawaii.” Set in Waikiki in the 1950’s, “Blue Hawaii” stars a young Elvis Presley who is released from the army and returns to his island home.
All of these movie showings are free but are open to registered hotel guests only. The films start at 8 p.m.
