Jack Johnson Returns to New Zealand

‘Inaudible Melodies’, ‘Sitting, Waiting, Wishing’, ‘Taylor’, ‘Times Like These’………just some of the songs that are now classics by Jack Johnson and part of the reason he has sold over 18 million album copies worldwide – this talented artist is set to visit Auckland again, 10 years after his first trip downunder.

Johnson is touring to promote his latest album ‘To The Sea’ and will be supported by his ever faithful touring companions Adam Topol (drums), Merlo Podlewski (bass) and Zach Gill (keys).  The first release from this album, ‘You and Your Heart’ has been hugely popular and stays true to Johnson’s beautiful acoustic sounds that explains his loyal and ever growing audience.

Perhaps even more admirable than Johnson’s obvious musical talents is his continuing support for environmental causes – this tour he will collaborate with hand-chosen community groups around the world as part of his ‘All at Once Community’.  This year the focus is on not-for-profit groups and engaging fans in the realms of Sustainable Local Food Systems and Plastic Free initiatives.  Johnson will donate 100% of his tour profits to charity and tour proceeds will go to these groups to support their projects.

It is expected that tickets to Johnson’s concert this year will sell fast, he is performing at the Vector Arena in Auckland on Thursday 8 December – tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster.
