- Road trip season is upon us, and like many, wouldn’t you rather have a little more to spend at your destination than on gas that gets you there. Well, be sure to bookmark sites like GasBuddy, GasPriceWatch and FuelMeUp to find the lowest gas prices on road. MapQuest even offers a service that assist you in locating cheap gas as well.
- Florida Association of RV Parks and Campground wants to remind all travelers that the Panhandle beaches haven’t be affected by the Gulf oil spill. If you have plans to visit this area this summer, keep them, but also keep an eye on the latest information concerning the spill as well.
- Have you heard about the Blue Star Museums? A NEA Initiative, the Blue Star Museums are a collection of over 600 museums in the nation that are saying thank you to active-duty military and their family by offering free admission May 31 – September 6. To find out what museums are participating, click on the state and it brings up a list.
- The National Park Service wants you to get the most out of your national park visit. Therefore, they have created the National Park Summer Adventure, which provides everything from tips to lodging to information on events all in one place.
