Cool Savings for Hot Travel This Summer in the South

Summer is here, and that means it’s time to travel. Choose a weekend and just go, but don’t forget to check out the great deals and packages available throughout the South. Save some money while having a good time.

The Family Fun package at The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Fla., features 20 percent savings on children’s summer programs, spa and/or golf. It also features discounts at nearby attractions. To take part in the package, a two-night minimum is required.
NYLO Plano (Texas) at Legacy offers various packages. Some of them are Summer Getaway that includes buy two nights and get the third night free (June 1 – September 7), and a Spa Getaway package with a $50 gift certificate good toward any service at The Spa at Willow Bend.
Properties in Amelia Island, Fla., are honoring the military with Seaside Salute deals, where active, reserve and retired military can enjoy up to 20 percent savings. Some of the specials include 15 percent off Addison on Amelia and 20 percent off Summer Beach Resort.
The Hampton Inn and Suites in Woodstock, Va., has a Luray Caverns package that includes tickets for four to the caverns, as well as two nights accommodations and breakfast. Other packages include a Virginia Wine Country Getaway and a The Great Getaway, which features 20 percent off.
Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort in Panama City Beach, Fla., has a number of packages for travelers. There is everything from a Wet & Wild Family Four Pack that include four tickets to Shipwreck Island Waterpark to the Stay and Play Package for the golfer.
Celebrate the 4th of July at the Millennium St. Louis (Mo.) with their Red, White and View package. This package offers breakfast and accommodations. You can even upgrade to an arch view room for a little more. Package is available July 2-5.
The Mission Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., has various packages for summer travel. You can find everything from a Memorial Day package to Father’s Day package to 4th of July package.
