Celebrate American Craft Beer Week
Beer lovers, craft brewers — it’s time to rejoice! This week (May 17-23) it’s American Craft Beer Week. So, go ahead, crack open another beer — it’s all in celebration for American Craft Beer Week. In cities across the country, beer tastings, brewery tours and toasting is taking place. Will you be clinking glasses to join in the celebration?

If you are craving some out of the norm, you may want to check out these venues:
The Office, 201 E Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach
The Office, the brainchild of David Manero, made headway with their juicy CEO burger and their sinful, maple-bacon doughnuts, but their beer list is one not to be missed. This charming neighborhood gastropub has over 25 beers on tap, perfect for any beer drinking style. From a crisp and clean Victory Prima Pils to an Arrogant Bastard Ale to an uber-local Monk in the Trunk, The Office has you covered.
Chef Allen’s, 19088 NE 29th Ave, Aventura
Chef Allen’s, a classic to the South Florida restaurant scene, is kicking off their Tuesday night lobster and beer dinners. From May 18-June 29, guests can enjoy a lobster dinner for only $36 or add beer pairing for only $10 more. Start off with a Rock Shrimp Caesar paired with 60 minute IPA, continue with a 1 1/2# Maine Lobster paired with Lobster Ale from Belfast Bay Brewing Company and finish with the Berry Crumble and the Blueberry Wheat Ale from Seadog Brewing.
Lou’s Beer Garden, 4997 Harding Ave., Surfside 305-704-7879
The first time I stopped by Lou’s, I wasn’t quite sure if I was seeing the whole restaurant, but this neighborhood watering hole was made a name for itself ever since. They just launched the five-part beer pairing series on the first Wednesday of each month May through September. Each month, there will be a different theme (ie. Belgian Beer nights, Summer beers, etc.). These events will take place from 6-8 p.m. and cost $20. Lou will pair hand selected brews with some signature appetizers for each event.
Yardhouse, 11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Ave, Palm Beach Gardens (561) 691-6901 and 320 San Lorenzo Ave, Coral Gables 305.447.9273
It doesn’t get much better than Yardhouse if you’re looking for an extensive beer selection. With between 100-250 different beers on tap, depending on the location, upscale bar food and even a kid’s klub (for those who think it is necessary to bring their kids to the bar), Yardhouse is booming every night of the week. Even if you want a new beer every time you visit, you’ll be set for months to come.
