Nightlife in New Delhi: Café Oz Brings “Yet-to-be-famous” Musicians
Café Oz hosts original “unknown” artists playing in front of a live audience. This event, called Plug In, is organized in conjunction with Bombay Elektrik Projekt – Delhi. Plug in provides a platform for “yet-to-be-famous” Delhi musicians to play for a large audience and gain popularity. Artists of all spheres of life are invited. You’ll get to hear live classic rock and many other form of music; the nightlife in New Delhi just a good a little better. I used the term “little” because personally I think the event is a fantastic idea. New Delhi hasn’t got such platforms for up-and-coming artists. However, to enjoy a good night out, Café Oz needs to come up with something really special. Read on for a brief review of Café Oz.
To register as a performer, contact Neha at neha@bombayelektrik.com or Anushree at anushree@bombayelektrik.com. Alternatively, simply call 9818008729.
Here’s a little about Café Oz.
As the name suggested, it is an Australian affair. The promoters have tried very hard to make the “home-sick” Australian expatriate or tourist feel at home. The Australian connection includes eclectic décor and themed cocktails. This place is one of the few places in New Delhi, which serves extremely cold brewskies. Apart from the drinks, this is one of the few places in New Delhi that serves Beef. Personally, I don’t think it’ll remind you of Australia all that much. The food is ok, not brilliant. Apart from the “Beef”, the menu is nothing special. Nevertheless, it is a pleasant place to hang out on a Friday night, especially since there will be live music played by yet-to-be-famous musicians. It is a nice addition to rocking nightlife in New Delhi.
