Victoria Day Weekend: Fit for a Queen
With the May 24th long weekend approaching most Canadians associate it with opening the cottage, gardening, bbqs, and the ubiquitous 2-4 of Canadian beer. However, the May long weekend, is officially named after Queen Victoria and celebrates her birthday. This year its her 191st! (She is looking great for her age!)
Here are a couple of “glam” and “bam” ways to celebrate this weekend:
Queen Victoria Look-A-Like Competition
- When: Monday May 24th, 12 – 4 pm
- Where: The Fairmont Royal York
- Hosted by: The Food Network’s Bob Blumer and Toronto’s own Miss Conception
- Judged by: A panel of celebrity judges
- Grand Prize: An evening in the Prime Minister’s Suite at the Royal York, a spa treatment, and dinner for two
