At Hawaiano Mauna Loa, prepare to be swept off your feet, into the warm waves of tropical Hawaiian heat. Decked out in rattan walls, wooden furniture and multi-colored flower garlands, Mauna Loa transports you into a completely different world – one where smooth ocean music and relaxing vibes surround you. Enter into the lush greenery and mystical caves of Hawaii within Mauna Loa. In such restricted space, you’ll be surprised by how much effort is put into packing all of Hawaii into Mauna Loa.

Even the drinks on its menu are distinctively Hawaiian: citrusy cocktails are served in giant volcanoes that spew out smoke. You’ll also find yourself drinking through extra long straws that poke into coconut husks or quirky pineapple-shaped containers. Each drink is original and creatively concocted by Mauna Loa. Expect to be wowed by cocktail names such as ‘Caribbean Nights’, ‘Dr Funk’ and ‘Passionate Devil’. Small tapas like olives and corn chips are also served with the drinks. Prices are slightly higher here than standard bars, starting from 6euros.

Conveniently located at Plaza de Santa Ana, Mauna Loa is just steps away from all the action – Puerta del Sol, being the heart of the city, is just a 5-minute walk from the bar. It’s hard to miss Mauna Loa, with its attention-grabbing exterior. With its leafy exterior, bamboo roof and dangling light bulbs, you already know what to expect when you step into the bar.
