Summer in the City Entertainment Series at the Boston Harbor Hotel

Sometimes it is all about the setting. During the summer,enjoy live music, dancing, and movies under the stars when some of the finest local bands take the stage at the waterfront Boston Harbor Hotel (70 Rowes Wharf, Boston, 617-856-7744)(Map)- all for free!

The hotel’s annual “Summer in the City” series offers something for everyone. Summer Soul takes place  Tuesday evenings from June 22-August 31 .Hear Motown hits of the 60′s and 70′s from some of New England best R & B bands. On Wednesdays, from June 23-September 1, the theme is Timeless Tunes where some of the area’s big band orchestra’s play  classic dance music from the 60′s to the present. Thursdays from June 17-September 2 , feature  Blues Barge performances from local and national blues artists . Fresh-air flicks are presented on a giant outdoor screen at dusk , around 8 PM.  This year’s film schedule  runs on Fridays from June 18-September 3 . Highlights include the Wizard of Oz (July 2), Some Like It Hot (August 6),  and Raiders of the Lost Ark (September 3).
