A Budget Suite in New Delhi

The cost of hotel suites worldwide vary from expensive to very expensive. Delhi is no exception. You can expect to pay anywhere between $400 (Rs. 16000) to…well…the sky’s the limit. I stumbled upon a very nice budget suite about 20 minutes from the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The budget suites are located at Tanish Regency in Dwarka, New Delhi and the cost, now brace yourself, is under $ 100 (Rs. 4000). Tanish Regency is a new, budget hotel in New Delhi.

A Suite for Under $100 at a Budget Hotel in New Delhi

Each suite contains a bathroom, a bedroom, and a lounge. All of these are the size of a typical executive room found in up-scale hotels. The suites are quite large indeed! The suites, as is true for all other rooms at the Tanish Regency, have a fridge, digital safe, and a high definition television. This makes it a very good budget hotel in New Delhi

The Tanish Regency is located in a residential colony called Dwarka in South West New Delhi. The Delhi Metro provides connectivity to other parts of Delhi. Actually, the closest Delhi Metro station is Dwarka Sector 12 and is about a five minute walk from the Tanish Regency. Unlike other parts of Delhi, Dwarka is not crowded. It is ideal for cycling. Apart from the Metro, there are buses and cabs that’ll take you to parts of New Delhi which are yet to be serviced by the Delhi Metro. This budget hotel in New Delhi is indeed well connected to other parts of New Delhi.

Pet Peeve: As this place opened in March this year, a critical amenity isn’t ready yet – catering service. The kitchen hasn’t yet opened and you will have to order food from outside. Fortunately, Dwarka has several restaurants, such as Moti Mahal, Bercos, Pizza Hut, Dominos, The Bistro etc.

The staff is very friendly and will look after your needs. They will also provide informed advice about New Delhi. This budget hotel in New Delhi also has a Conference Room and a Banquet Hall. The Conference Room is rather small, but ideal for a meeting group of 10 members.

Delhi Travel Tip: If your stay in Delhi is long or if you are coming down as a group, you might want to rent out a furnished apartment. Dwarka has loads of such apartments. The rent ranges from $ 300 to $ 1000.
