Name That Cactus and Win Two Nights at The Boulders Resort
() in Carefree, Arizona is inviting the public to name some of its most distinguished residents: the striking cactus that stand proudly in the surrounding Sonoran Desert landscape. The “Name the Cactus” presents a fabulous vacation getaway to the winner at one of my favorite resorts in Arizona.
All you need is a burst of creativity to come up with a name that fits each cactus featured on their site. Winners from previous years came up with names like Gladtameetchoo,” “Mr. Grumps,” “Double Barrel Darrel,” and “Captain Cact-Eye.” You get the idea. Here are more from previous years.
The contest runs until June 1, 2010 so get those creative juices flowing.
Here’s how to participate:
- Let them know who you’re reminded of when you take a look at the featured – whether it’s a famous person, an animal, a family member or maybe even a frenemy (they are quite prickly). You could win a fabulous vacation getaway and meet your nicknamed cactus.
- Submit the most creative monikers for the six distinctive cacti pictured.
- The winning names will be chosen on creativity and originality.
Six Contest Winners Will Receive:
- Two nights deluxe casita accommodations for two at the AAA Boulders Resort & Golden Door Spa (June –September 2010).
- $500 airfare gift card per winner
- Daily breakfast for two at Palo Verde restaurant
- Two twosomes at the Boulders Golf course
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by participating in this contest. The Boulders Resort is a magnificent resort with award-winning dining, a fabulous and an exquisite golf course surrounded by 12 million year-old boulders. It’s really one of the best retreats in Arizona.
