The Roerich’s Century: Half a Month Left

The Victory, 1942. By Nicholas Roerich

Until May, 16 you can visit a unique exhibition dedicated to the activity of  the Roerich’s family, whose members managed to contribute to a few fields: ethnography, archeology, literature, painting, philosophy, education, and many more. What is unique is that this is the first exhibition that covers the activity of the Roerichs as a whole, of all the members and of all the filds.

The detailed information is given on the web-site of the event with all sections listed, I’ll just give you the gist.

It can be called as an integrated event, and it’s a real present to all fans of the Roerichs. But it is also a good thing to see for everybody interested in arts.

Many of the items will be displayed for the first time. A few of them can be seen in an interactive mode. Items have been specially collected from 60 collections, including private ones, which means it may be the first and the last chance to see them. Many pieces were given by the Hermitage and others prominent museums.

Venue: Manezh, the Isaac’s square, 1.

Open: 11.00-19.00

Tickets: 200 roubles
