Feudi di San Gregorio Wine Dinner at Marcello’s La Sirena
There’s something about just mentioning the words — Marcello’s La Sirena — that makes my heart skip a beat. I’ve posted about my mind-blowing experience before, and anyone who has been here knows what I am talking about.
From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you are directed into a parking spot and guided into the front door where you are immediately greeted and welcomed into the restaurant like a member of the family. You can be assured that your experience will be one to remember, as they execute every classic Italian dish with perfection. No wonder why this restaurant is packed every night of the week, and yes, even on a Monday night off season, a reservation is almost always required.
Knowing that dining at Marcello’s on any night of the week is a treat in itself, when they host wine dinners — it’s a night not to be missed. This Wednesday is one of those nights as Chef Marcello Florentino brings The Wines of Feudi di San Gregorio to the restaurant for a six course wine pairing dinner featuring classic caprese dishes. For something that I would expect to cost upwards of $150, this one is only $79++. How I wish that I didn’t have plans already, but if you’re looking for a mind-blowing meal this is one dinner I would jump hurdles to get to.
