Hungarian Gastronomical Festival Delights New Delhi

Traditional Hungarian Food in New Delhi

Hungarian food festival in New Delhi

There is a food festival taking place tomorrow evening, which you should definitely not miss, especially if your palates feel like something different (read as non-Indian). Head for the Hungarian Gastronomical Festival in South Delhi. For the Indian palate, the food might be a tad on the bland side, however, the Hungarian Gastronomical Festival does have a few dishes that lean on the spicy side. Hungarians are fond of using paprika, black peppercorn, bay leaf, basil and coriander in their dishes.

The India International Centre plays host to the Hungarian Gastronomical Festival in cooperation with the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre. As you can tell by the name, there will be authentic Hungarian cuisine at the festival. If you think Hungarian cuisine is boring, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Hungarian cuisine has been influenced by the French, Germans, and the Turks. The result is a beautiful, mouth-watering fusion of slowly cooked meals. You’ll get to try mouth watering dishes, such as Hungarian Chicken Paprikash (Csirke Paprikas) and Hungarian Pancakes (Palacsinta). If you have sweet tooth, don’t miss out on the desserts.

Go ahead and indulge in the best of eastern European food in New Delhi. Your palate will not be disappointed!
