Bubblefest XIV
Experience a spectacular bubble show for both children and their parents at this year’s Bubblefest XIV with Guinness World Record holder Fan Yang. Fan Yang will display his mastery of “bubble art”, manipulating them to create an array of bubbles that will amaze you and your children. Because of it’s popularity in New York, this famous Bubble show has come to the West Coast and also shown much attraction as the largest event of the Discovery Science Center. Some highlights of Bubblefest include:
Fan Yang’s Gazillion Bubble Show
The highlight of the bubble festival will be Fan Yang’s display of the most remarkable bubble show. This “Bubble Scientist” will create bubble carousels, smoking bubbles, bubbles within bubbles, and bubbles that can spin and bounce.
Fan Yang is a 16-time Guinness World Record holder for such titles as largest spherical soap bubble, passage into a bubble without it breaking, creating the most concentric bubbles, most people inside a soap bubble, and most bubbles attached to each other in mid-air. He has performed for popular television shows and also Cirque du Soleil. Yang’s daily performances will take place at 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 3:30pm.
Bubble Learning Stations
Over 100 stations will be available using the theme of bubbles to learn about theories of science and math. Children will have hands-on lessons on a topic that many are fascinated with. Experiments include how to make a bubble last the longest and how to ttouch the inside of a bubble. Also, for an additional cost, visitors have the “Me in a Bubble” option where there will be photos of guests encapsulated in a giant soap bubble, a perfect souvenir from Bubblefest.
Price: Adults $19.95, Members $6, Children (3-17) $16.95 for General Admission and Bubble Fest Show. Bubble Super Tickets will also be available that will include a 4-D movie, DinoQuest Game, and free beverage. $27.95 for Adults and $24.95 for children.
