Easter Menus in the Miami Area

Hope you are hungry, because this year’s options for Easter will have you calling for more. From Nicaraguan Rock Lobster Tail to a Tortilla Espanola, this year’s line-up has something for everyone, even a cookie decorating station for the kids.

From Solo at Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Enjoy a an intimate prix-fixe dinner from Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli at 660 at The Angler’s for only $35++. Your menu will include a Wild Mushroom Tart, a Salad of Organic Baby Lettuce, and 18-hour Braised Lamb Shank with creamy polenta and glazed root vegetables and a Meyer Lemon Panna Cotta for dessert.

If you’re looking to get that European neighborhood cafe feeling, a visit to Angelique in the Gables is a must. They will be serving an a la carte menu for Easter Brunch.  Highlights include a Golden Tomato Soup ($6), Tortillas Catalanas ($12) with eggs, potatoes, onions, Spanish chorizo, mushroom and Manchego, Pork Tenderloin ($20) drizzled with balsamic syrup and crimini mushroom risotto and Pepper Crusted Giant Sea Scallops ($24) served with citron arugula and sundried tomato risotto. Brunch will be served from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Area 31 will not disappoint with their lavish brunch created by Chef John Critchley. Your dining experience includes 3 hours of unlimited food, Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s, Prosecco and fresh juices. Their Easter buffet will include waffles, pancakes, Eggs Benedict, steak frites, grilled corvina, baked rigatoni and made-to-order omelets. Cost is $65++ for adults, $22 for children 6-15 and free for those under 6. Brunch will be served from noon – 3:00 pm.

For that New England experience, make your reservations at The Cape Cod Room and enjoy a “Hybrid” buffet available from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.  Kick things off with a cocktail of your choice, like the Nor’easter (Barbancourt reserve rum with Jamaican ginger beer), served with buffet selections like croissants, scones, yogurt, fruit and cheese. After that, it’s time for your main hot plate. Try the Rolled French Omelet, a Jumbo Lump Crab Cake or the JFK style Lobster Stew. Cost is $33++ a person and $16 for children 12 and under.

Cioppino at The Ritz-Carlton: If you are looking for something lavish, Cioppino in Key Biscayne might be the location for you. There will be 14 live action eggs set up where you will enjoy made-to-order omelets, chilled seafood and caviar, artisanal cheese, a carving station, fresh sushi and a bloody mary bar. There be a 2nd buffet set up for just desserts, including the hand-painted chocolate egg sculptures. Cost is $82++ for adults and $40++ for children.

Fleming’s will open early on Easter for a fantastic brunch ($29.95++) from 11:30 am – 3:00 pm. Select either a fresh fruit or wedge salad to start with, your choice of entree such as the filet benedict, berry-stuffed French toast, Beef Tenderloin and Vegetable Frittata, and a choice of dessert. May we suggest the Walnut Turtle Pie.

Feast on a lavish buffet at Gotham Steak at Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Specialty stations will be set up featuring gourmet specialties from Chef Alfred Portale. Enjoy Jonah Crab Claws at the Raw Bar, artisanal cheeses at the Cheese and Charcuterie Station, Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho at the Specialty Soup Bar and a Dill and Black Pepper Crusted Salmon at the traditional carving station. Your sweet tooth will not be forgotten about, so save room for the Key Lime Tart and the Lemon Doughnuts. Cost is $75++, $37.50++ for children and the cost includes unlimited mimosas. Isabella’s, located at JW Marriott Hotel Miami will present a special brunch for Easter served buffet-style. Highlights include BBQ glaze Pork Ribs, Roasted Lamb with Mediterranean Flavors, Seafood Paella, Ceviche, Omelets, European Pastries & Muffins, Imported and Domestic Cheeses and more. Cost is $55++ a person, $25 for children 6-11 and complimentary for those under 6. Price includes juice, soft drinks, Champagne and coffee.

Neomi’s Grill at Trump International Beach Resort is offering a traditional brunch buffet with an international flair from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Enjoy everything from a Peruvian roast chicken to a Greek leg of lamb, paired with salads fresh from the garden or your favorite sushi items. Of course their will be traditional brunch favorites served like omelets and gourmet pastries. An array of desserts will satisfy your sweet toot. Children will have a mini-buffet all to themselves with mac ‘n cheese and chicken fingers galore. They will even be able to decorate their own sugar cookies. Cost is $60++ for children and $20++ for children 6-12. Those under 5 eat for free.

Key West: If you are in the Keys for Easter weekend, the Cheeca Lodge & Spa is where you will want to be. Festivities kick off at 6:45 with a sunrise mass, followed by an elegant brunch offering both classic and Florida-inspired creative dishes like Stone Crab Claws with Mustard Sauce, Roasted Leg of Lamb with Rosemary Jus, Crab Eggs Benedict and Roasted Mahi Mahi with Yukon Puree and Curry Coconut Sauce.
