Kids Rule at Bitton Gourmet Cafe and Grocer
The streets of inner-city Alexandria are lined with noisy bars and pubs, so it may not be the first place you’d think of for a casual lunch with the kids. But Bitton Gourmet Café and Grocer is one local establishment that welcomes little ones with open arms.
The Parisian born owner David Bitton has devised a nutritious and tasty kids menu that will please parents and children alike. They include penne pasta topped with homemade tomato sauce and cheese, salmon fillets served with crunchy pommes frites, and beef fillet with veggies. If they clean their plates you might like to offer the kids French crepes with strawberry and vanilla jam, baby friends, or a scoop of gelato!
But the appeal of Café Bitton goes beyond the menu. There’s also a dedicated kids’ room overflowing with toys, so the kids can play while you chat over coffee or browse the selection of fresh produce and Bitton products in the mini grocer.
