Deals and Packages to Get You Traveling in the South

Feel the need to getaway for a weekend or two, but afraid you just don’t have the money to splurge?

Well, here are some deals and packages throughout the South that won’t bust the bank.

• Considering a getaway to either South Carolina or North Carolina? Before you book the property for your stay, you might want to take a look at what 30-plus Marriott Hotels and Resorts are offering. Book by midnight April 15 to receive a special low weekday or weekend rate. The rates can be booked for travel through June 27. When booking, use code ADP.
• Mariners Landing (map) in Huddleston, Va., has a variety of packages for all types of travel. For instance, the Mariners Getaway package includes a one-night stay and a $40 voucher for Benjamin’s at The Pointe. There’s also a Family (or Friends) Getaway package that has a $200 group voucher that can be used for golf, spa services or (at the) Lifestyle Fitness Center.
• The Rio package at Omni La Mansion del Rio (map) in San Antonio includes  two tickets for the Rio San Antonio River Cruise, breakfast for two adults, complimentary valet parking and more. The package is good through December 31.
• Through June 6, families can enjoy the Family Time package offered by Norfolk (Va.) Waterside Marriott (map). The offer features a welcome bag for children under 12 years old and free breakfast for them as well.
• Palm Beach County, Fla., has packages for travel in the near future (Sunfest in West Palm Beach, April 28 – May 2) and packages for travel in the far future. Also, don’t forget about the $19.09 Founders Package offered through participating properties.
• Play a round of golf in Alpharetta, Ga., and stay the night. Hotel Sierra (map) is offering a Tee It Up Golf package that includes club rental, cart rental and a sleeve of balls (among other amenities) to play at the Trophy Club (map). Aside from this golf package, you can discover many other packages for a overnight or weekend stay in Alpharetta as well.
• And speaking of golf, Bay Point Marriott (map) in Panama City Beach has the One-on-One package, good through August 15, that includes one round of golf on either the Nicklaus or Meadows course.
