Zipline in Maui
Maui has something for everyone. The island’s varied terrain is ripe with possibilities, and ziplining is a uniquely thrilling one. What better way to see the beautiful island of Maui than with a leader in sustainable tourism.
The new takes participants on a five-hour tour that includes eight zipline experiences, including a backwards zip. The grand finale line is a doozy at close to a mile long. The innovative course spans lengthwise across the West Maui Mountains whizzing thrill-seekers from Waikapu [] all the way to Ma’alaea, crossing eleven ridges and nine valleys along the way.
Flyin Hawaiian Zipline was first, and foremost, built on the idea of conservation. The company tries to provide a fun yet educational experience that helps visitors and locals protect and preserve the island’s natural treasures while educating guests in a non-invasive and eco-friendly way.
Many of Hawaii’s greatest offerings are endangered. Open spaces are threatened by the lure of development and many of Hawaii’s precious flowers and plants are being overtaken by invasive alien species. That is why each tour will take its own native Hawaiian plant and reintroduce it back into its native habitat. Participants will learn about the island’s native plants and also plant endangered Hawaiian hibiscus seedling along the way.
The zipline tour is moderately strenuous, with a little hiking required in between platforms. For the most part, zipline is the perfect combination of adventure and sightseeing on an island full of photo-worthy opportunities. The Flyin’ Hawaiian tour is a perfect activity for the whole family, but kids must be over 10 years old and 75 lbs. Maximum weight for adults is 250 pounds.
