Terem Crossover: Musical Competition
107 ensembles from 21 countries in the time period between 22nd and 28th of March will be fighting for prizes of The Terem Crossover tournament which is going to be one of the biggest musical events ever held in St. Petersburg.
To put it briefly: it’s a great meeting of instrumental bands of different types from Balkans Strings and Tango Extremo to the State ensemble of violinists of the Republic of Sakha. Over the course of the week the musicians take part in a competition which consists of three stages, judged by a jury and an audience.
Along with the tournament itself, the ensembles will be performimg at different stages in St. Petersburg, often playing at public scenes absolutely free (an out-of-competition program). For example, every evening from 17.00 till 23.00 since 23rd to 26th of March visitors of a book store Bukvoed will be able to hear a few bands at a cafe lounge of the shop. It’s located in the very center of the city, Ligovsky prospect, 10.
The main part of competition starts on 22th of March at the St. Petersburg State Academic Capella at 20.00, then it goes further on everry day with auditions within the second stage, the final part is held on March,27 at 16.00 followed by a big concert on March 28 which ends the whole event.
