Hakkasan has been getting a lot of buzz lately with their dim sum menu, but their upcoming wine tasting sounds is just as enticing. On Wednesday, a wine tasting featuring B.R. Thursday, March 11:
Join like-minded gourmands for a feast of the senses at Chefs With a Purpose this Thursday at Intercontinental Miami. While some charity events donate a small portion to a given cause, 100% of the proceeds from this event will benefit the International Firefighters Assistance in Haiti. Taste small bites from the participating chefs like Cindy Hutson (Ortanique on the Mile), Jeff O’Neil (Gibraltar), Johnny Vinczencz (Johnny V), Clay Conley (Azul), Jonathan Wright (The Setai) and more, participate in the silent auction and enjoy the sounds by DJ Joe Dert. Friday, March 12:
Surround yourself with the beauty of orchids this weekend for the 8th Annual International Orchid Festival. Walk through the gardens at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden while you admire the over 10,000 orchid plants. While you are there, be sure to enjoy the live music, taste some delicious food and get some orchid growing tips. Cost is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for children 6-17 and free for Fairchild members and children 5 and under. If you love the artwork of John Lennon, you will surely enjoy the largest collection of Lennon’s artwork on display this weekend in CityPlace that gives viewers an insight into his life and his outlook on the world. This collection will be on display in CityPlace (between Kona Grill and Barnes & Noble) located at 700 S Rosemary Ave, West Palm Beach. Hours are on Friday (noon-9:00 pm), Saturday (11:00 am – 8:00 pm) and on Sunday (11:00 am – 6:00 pm).

Saturday, March 13:
Celebrate this year’s award winning wines from the annual American Fine Wine competition on Saturday, March 13 at this gala dinner. Taking place at Lincoln Culinary Institute (formerly known as Florida Culinary Institute), savor gourmet delights from the area’s top toques like Michael Wagner (Lola’s on Harrison) and Oliver Saucy (Cafe Maxx), sip on any one of the 500+ wines entered into this year’s competition and enjoy live music from Nicole Henry. Sunday, March 14:
Talula — home to Chefs Andrea Curto-Randazzo and Frank Randazzo — best known for bringing creative American cuisine to the beach is offering a Sunday brunch just for the locals in their garden patio.
