Updated information on travel to Hawaii
With the new year came new flights to Hawaii. What follows is a comprehensive list of the latest travel updates affecting travel to the islands.
- In December 2009, Air Canada began nonstop, seasonal service between Calgary, Alberta and Honolulu. The airline offers up to two flights per week from Honolulu. This is the only non-stop service offered between Calgary and Honolulu.

- is increasing its four-times-weekly service to daily service between Honolulu and in March 2010. Continental’s fight between Honolulu and will depart at 1 p.m., arriving in Orange County at 9:35 p.m. The return flight will depart Orange County at 9 a.m. and arrive in Honolulu at 11:45 a.m.
- will add daily service from to Honolulu in June 2010. Delta’s to Honolulu flight will depart daily at 5:45 p.m., arriving on Oahu at 8:45 p.m. Return flights from Honolulu to will depart daily at 10 p.m., arriving in at 6:50 a.m.
- In June 2010, Delta is scheduled to add direct flights from Detroit to Honolulu. Delta’s Detroit to Honolulu flight will depart on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at 12:10 p.m., arriving on Oahu at 3:55 p.m. Return flights from Honolulu to Detroit will depart on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday at 6:10 p.m., arriving in Detroit at 9:05 a.m. the following day.
