Chicago’s Best Sports Bars
This Sunday is a big sports day in with the gold medal round of Olympics hockey: USA vs. Canada.
It is especially big considering that the Blackhawks have more Olympics players than any other NHL team.
Sunday, the Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane takes to the ice playing for Team USA. His teammate Jonathan Toews will play for Canada.

(3535 N Clark St.) – Located in the shadow of the famous Cubs’ Wrigley Field, this monster-size bar not only serves up some of Chicago’s best local beer (brewed in the Windy City) but also delicious appetizers and lunch items all while watching sports on giant-size TVs.
(33 W Kinzie St.) – While this River North bar is dedicated to the late and great Cubs sports announcer Harry Caray, it is more than just about baseball. The TVs in its bar show all sports where you can also dine on Harry Caray’s legendary steaks and famous chicken parmesan. For a more formal meal post-game, go to the attached restaurant with its mahogany paneling, white tablecloths, and baseball memorabilia.
(1970 N. Lincoln Ave.) – Don’t let the name fool you; this Lincoln Park establishment is more than just about eating. It’s bar is front and center with large, flat-screen TVs at all angles and plenty of home-style cooking, including steak-fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, meatloaf, pork chops, catfish, and mashed potatoes and gravy.
Remember: The puck drops at 2:15 p.m. CST. Because of the popularity of the game, most bars will get crowded so try and get there early, enjoy lunch, and settle in for the game.
