Galleria Dallas; not just for shopping

The Galleria Mall in Dallas (map) has more than just great boutique shopping and classy restaurants; there is an ice-skating rink located in the center of the mall as a centerpiece surrounded by four levels of the Galleria Mall. The Ice-Skating Center is known as one of the best places to people watch in Dallas, and the Galleria Mall is equipped to provide fun for the entire family. For the kids, if skating isn’t their thing, take them to the Galleria’s ever-popular domed skylight jungle-themed playground while you go for a skate.

The skating rink is safe for people of all ages and skill levels to visit, and if you are not confident on skates and would like to try, skating lessons are available for people both old and young. Even if you are a serious skater, professionals come to the Ice Skating Center for freestyle advanced skating lessons. The rink is also available to hold group parties for birthdays, company parties, or other events. To receive group rates, there must be a minimum of ten skaters per group.

The skating rink at the Galleria is open year-round, and is particularly popular in the hot summer months. Once you have had enough of skating, tons of grand shopping awaits you.
