Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Shamrock Fest
In honor of Saint Patrick’s Day, green beer drinking partiers will be taking over the festival grounds at Washington DC’s RFK Stadium for the annual .

Shamrock Fest is the largest Saint Patrick’s Day festival in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and this year it features 40+ live bands and DJ’s performing on 10 stages, plus dozens of party zones, carnival rides, and tons of games and activities.
Visit the popular Irish Village featuring 9 Irish bars and restaurants with Irish performers, contests and a crazy dancing Leprechaun.
Enjoy the strolling entertainers as you walk the festival sampling food, beer and available crafts for sale.
At the Irish Main Stages, check out live music ranging from Celtic rock and folk to Irish punk and traditional Irish party bands. In the Taste of Ireland tent, live Irish dancers, fiddlers and pipers will be performing.
A few of the bands performing at this year’s Shamrock Fest include:
- Grammy-Award-winning Train
- The Roots, from the world of Hip Hop
- DC’s party band, Scythian
You can also participate in setting a new Guinness Book world record while raising money to support finding a cure for cancer and the Race for the Cure, by participating in the
Chest Bump Against Cancer ($12 donation.)
And of you’ve never seen a Gaelic football match, now is the time to check it out. From across the Eastern US, teams of Gaelic football players compete in the first-ever Shamrock Sevens Gaelic Football Invitational. Games start at 1:00 pm.
