Houston’s Getting Ready to Rodeo

In its annual celebration of agriculture, education, entertainment and western heritage, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo rolls into town, bringing with it the heartbeat of the Southwest.  This is the world’s largest livestock exhibition, the world’s richest regular season rodeo, and the Southwest’s premier entertainment venue.

Blige, Jonas Brothers, Keith Urban, Blacked Eyed Peas, and lots more.  Limited tickets are available for some performances, so check the seat availability chart and to make your selection.

Other highlights of the two and half weeks of festivities include the numerous rodeo events, the World Championship BBQ Contest, Horse Show, Wine Show, trail rides, livestock auction, and a carnival.  With other events planned around town, there’s enough to keep you sleepless for the entire time.  But don’t forget, this event has an important educational component, with lots of events designed to support and encourage kids and students.

If you’re not from Texas, or are a novice to the sport of rodeo, you won’t be able to appreciate what a very BIG event this is.  So just put on your boots and jeans, grab a hat, and enjoy being part of one of the biggest shows in the country.
