Celebrate Year of The Tiger at Hong Kong Disneyland

Through Feb. 28 guests at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort can experience a unique Chinese New Year celebration for the whole family.  The entire park will be decorated in traditional New Year’s decorations to welcome the Year of The Tiger.

Live entertainment including drummers and lion dancers will spread joy and happiness everywhere, while Mickey, Minnie and other Disney characters will put on new festive costumes created by fashion designer Kelly Chen, wishing guests the best of luck in the New Year.

Guests at Hong Kong Disney (map) will be delighted with the all-new Disney’s Jumping Jam, Celebration in the Street and Lucky Trail.

  • Celebration in the Street is a high spirited event taking place on Main Street U.S.A.  Chinese Drummers, led by Mickey Mouse, provide an energetic performance to welcome the new year.  The grand procession includes a golden dragon and elaborate puppets, while Minnie Mouse joins the celebration with a beautiful fan dance.
  • A breath-taking, highly-interactive drum and acrobatic show set to high energy music takes place during the all new Disney’s Jumping Jam held on a 360-degree circular stage guests clap along as the bouncy-ist Tiger of the all, Tigger comes on stage to introduce the Year of the Tiger
  • Hong Kong Disneyland Park added eight figurines to the Lucky Trail bringing good luck with a brand new lookAmid floral settings, the statues represent Happiness, Wealth, Longevity, Romance, Success in Studies, Family Harmony, Achievement and Prosperity. (I don’t know about you, but I could sure use a few of these around my house!)  A lucky trail sticker book allows guests to gather special edition stickers along with the photos of the Disney characters.
