Our Picks of the Week: Feb 11 – 15

If you are out and about this weekend, it doesn’t haven’t to be all about Valentine’s Day. From free cocktail to more free cocktails to garlic and art, we have you covered.

Thursday, Feb 11: Launch party for Tonino Lamborghini energy drink. Anything with Lamborghini’s name on it is expected to be in a class by itself and you can see for yourself by attending the official launch party on Thursday night at Club 50. This free rooftop party begins at 9:00 pm and will include an open bar until midnight and a celebrity-studded guest list — Sabby Piscitelli from the Tampa Bay Bucaneers, Club Owner Roamin Sago, Sidney Rice from the Minnesota Vikings and more. Club 50 is located on the rooftop at The Viceroy Hotel, 485 Brickell Avenue in Miami.

Thurs-Fri, Feb 11-12: JB Kitchen & Bar, the newly opened  restaurant in the former Badrutt’s space, brings classic American food with Latin influences to the heart of Brickell. This  week, until February 12, as part of their grand opening, they will be offering free cocktails from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. JB Kitchen & Bar is located at 1250 S. Miami Ave. in Miami. 305-415-0070

Friday, 2/12-14: If you are garlic-obsessed, there is no better place to be this weekend than at Garlic Fest, taking place at Old School Square in Delray Beach. There will be live music; a gourmet galley with over 150 vendors set up; a chef’s competition with competitors such as Chef Michael Wagner (Lola’s on Harrison), Chef Joey Giannuzzi (The Green Gourmet) and Chef Mike Murgio (Food Shack) competing; a wine garden and a variety of children’s activities taking place.  Admission is $10 and the event runs from 5-10 pm on Friday, 11am – 10 pm on Saturday and from 11am – 7pm on Sunday.

Feb 13-15: The Coconut Grove Art Festival will be held this weekend. This annual event brings together over 330 fine artists and craftsmen and attracts over 150,000 people. Enjoy mingling with the artists, tasting fine cuisines and enjoying the live entertainment. Cost is $10/person and the event takes place from 10am – 6pm. Children under 12 are free. 3-day passes are available for $17 and residents of the Grove  (33133) can attend all 3 days for only $5.
