REVIEW: MUDE, Lisbon Design Museum

Right in Rua Augusta (map), Baixa neighbourhood’s main street, the new Lisbon Design and Fashion Museum has been opened since the beginning of last summer. As you’re walking down this pedestrian street, it’s hard to miss it on your left side, just before you reach the arch.

The 3.000 sq meters now shows 170 pieces of the 2.500 of the total collection bought from Francisco Capelo and that we will all be able to see from October this year. This collection pretends to show a bit of the Design history through the 20th century. On the second floor, “Ombro a Ombro” exposition shows a collection of political posters from Zurich Design Museum.

Rua Augusta, nº 24
Opened from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am until 8pm (on Saturdays until 10pm)
