Luna Park Gets New Pirate’s Revenge Ride

There’s a brand new reason to visit Luna Park. Sydney’s only amusement park has just unveiled a brand new ride called Pirate’s Revenge.

The log ride scales five stories before you face a hair-raising drop into the waters below. Watch out for the 30 foot great white shark and the life-sized pirates as you make your heart-pounding descent! It looks like a great way to cope with this summer heat!

Entry to Luna Park is free, so mum and dad can relax for nix while the kids enjoy the new attraction. But beware; the ride costs $10 so it can get expensive. If you think they’ll want to ride again and again I suggest buying a Go Wild Unlimited Rides Pass. Priced from $30, it proves to be a great investment for thrill seekers.

Trading hours: Consult this calendar to see opening times until May 2010
Location: Luna Park
Address: 1 Olympic Drive, Milsons Point
Public transport: Catch a train to Milsons Point station, or the Sydney Explorer bus to Milsons Point, or a ferry to Milsons Point wharf
Parking: Car park entry is via Paul Street. Parking starts at $7, and is capped at $32
Cost: Entry is free. A single ride on Pirate’s Revenge costs $10
