There’s an app for that! And that’s true when it comes to Lexington (Ky.) CVB. They’ve recently released a free slide puzzle iPhone app that features nine imagines of the area’s Bluegrass region.
The Virginia Historical Society (Richmond, map) is offering free admission to its museum and research library throughout 2010.
South Carolina Aquarium (Charleston, map) is gearing up for an exciting year with their different programs and exhibits. In addition to monthly events, you can also enjoy such experiences as the behind-the-scenes tours of the Sea Turtle Hospital or the Great Ocean Tank.
There’s a new attraction coming to Branson, Mo. The Branson Zipline and Canopy Tour (map) is slated to open this spring. The attraction will offer the Ozarks Xplorer Canopy Tour (two and a half hour tour with zip lines, walkways and platforms), the Blue Streak Fast Line (one-stop zip), and a Deluxe Zipline Tour (extreme single line zip). Don’t forget about the other ziplines in the South.
Spring Break is just around the corner and you can get a head start planning your trip to Daytona Beach, Fla., this year. Their Spring Break site brings together all of the information that you need to make ‘10 break unforgettable.

The Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla. (map) is offering an “American Hero Rate” good through May 31. Available to active and retired U.S. military, police officers and firefighters, this includes accommodations and complimentary breakfast for two. There’s also an “American Hero Stay & Play” package (good February 11-May 31) available to the same group that includes one round of golf. When making reservations, be sure to ask for the package and present your ID at check-in.
