Just Voices at the LA AF

UCLA inverted fountain

Are you from an a capella group looking for a networking event? Are you interested in taking vocal classes and instruction on how to succeed in the music industry? Well what about if you’re one out of the billions of others who just enjoy music? The LA A Capella Festival will take place at the University of California, Los Angeles in the Ackerman Grand Ballroom. The festival will be this Saturday on January 30, 2020 at 8pm. They offer courses like digital distribution, group improvisation, essential listening, marketing and fundraising classes. Instructors are experienced and come from extensive a capella backgrounds themselves.

Some of the amazing talent you will see are M-Pact who won an LA Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year and a Seattle Music Award for Artist of the Year. Sonos will also be performing which was formed from college students of the Southern California area. Lastly, Bruin Harmony is an all male singing group from UCLA.  They have sung at the Los Angeles Sparks’ Playoff WNBA game and was also in “The Social Network” film.

Remember, you can go to concerts with instruments (and digital ones) any day. However, how many a capella concerts have you gone to or even heard of? Trust me, it will amaze you how these voices come together as both the vocals and the “instruments” for classic and contemporary songs. It is truly an art form that also ties into January as LA Arts month. This is an event that everyone from all ages can enjoy. Do something a little different and support music with just voices. So go on and buy tickets now!
