Celtic-Manang- Katmandu Nepal
The Celthic- Manang Bar is a bar that easily becomes a second home for many volunteers living in and around the Thamel area. This Bar is managed by an Irish lady named Mary and her Nepali husband. Together they have put together a place that welcomes and invites people night after night.
With televised sporting events, free pop corn, and fairly priced drinks, this places has become a home to many. Thursday night is darts night, where many volunteers gather to play a friendly game of darts and talk about the week. There is accessible wifi making it a perfect place to bring your laptop have a drink and meet new travelers and stay in touch with people back home.
The friendly staff will get your know you by your name and will make you feel comfortable. The food is delicious and is a fusion of Irish and Nepali food. The music is a variety of chilled groups and offers a calming feel to the place. Happy hour runs for three hours and offers you two drinks for the price on one.
This place is fantastic and should be visited by anyone looking for a calm night at a great cafe/bar.
