San Diego’s Reigning Hot Spots Join the Prestigious Ranks

San Diego is represented in three different categories for the upcoming 2010 Nightclub & Bar Awards hosted in Las Vegas, March 8-10.
Stingaree, San Diego’s famed Gaslamp Quarter nightclub, has been named one of four finalists for the Mega-Club of the Year category. Stingaree is joined by the likes of nationally acclaimed venues, XS, Las Vegas; Pacha, New York City, and Rain, Las Vegas. Stingaree is a haven for San Diego’s celebrity guests, the three-story, state-of-the-art nighclub has continually generated super star buzz and packed the house with an irresistible crowd of the city’s sexiest party goers and Hollywood hipsters since opening in 2005.  (map it)

Also representing San Diego the Bar Awards is the 207, Hard Rock Hotel.  Other Hotel Bars being represented include, BOND Restaurant & Lounge, The Langham, Boston; Hudson Bar, Hudson Hotel, New York; and POV, W Hotel in Washington, DC.  207 at the Hard Rock  is a laid back den of glamour located off the hotel lobby, exudes a more casual atmosphere for conversation over cocktails, catching a game on flat screen TVs or listening to tunes spun by the hottest area DJs. The dramatic bar is accented with black leather, complimented by white crocodile padded bar stools. Oversized crystal chandeliers infuse sexiness to the 207′s interior. In the Wine Bar of the Year category, San Diego has the Ivy Ultra Lounge and Wine Bar.  Others elite Wine Bars include:  Flute Midtown, New York; Mercy Wine Bar in Dallas and Zebra’s Bistro & Wine Bar in Medfield, MA. (map it)
