Spring in Bucktown (2039 W. North Ave.; ; 773-395-7100) – Four-course menu ($80) with dishes such as seared Maine scallops with braised oxtail. Take things up a notch with a caviar pairing for only $13 more. 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Feburary 14.
Signature Room on Michigan Avenue (875 N. Michigan Ave.; ; 312-787-9596) – $95 for a four-course dinner with a champagne toast and a dessert to share. 5 to 9:30 p.m. on February 14.
Lockwood at the Palmer House Hilton in the Loop (17 E. Monroe St.; ; 312-917-3404) - One of ’s top chefs, Philip Foss, serves a nine-course tasting menu ($95) with optional wine pairings ($45 extra). Menu selections include Jonah crab meat wrapped in Granny Smith apple; Gigha Island halibut; blue-foot chicken cordon bleu; and a chocolate “bath” for two with raspberries. 5 to 11 p.m. February 14.

Starting on the 8th, the restaurant will have several Valentine’s Day-inspired events, including dining discounts for married couples (February 8); a free carriage ride around Lincoln Park with the purchase of a “premiere fondue dinner” (February 10); and a four-course fondue dinner with champagne (from $85 on February 13 and 14).
