This is ideal for putting on your robe and walking straight from your room to the spa; you’ll feel like you are staying at a private spa resort.

The Perfect Way to Stay at the Trump Hotel

I recently stayed in the one of the Trump Chicago’s Spa Rooms and I found the best way to experience the room and the hotel was to first take a hot bath in the room’s deep-soaking tub using the hotel’s bath amenities and bath salts and then throw on your robe and walk to the spa for a gemstone massage that uses “gem-infused oils” such as sapphire, emerald, and ruby, followed by a Kate Somerville facial that will honestly give you that “Red Carpet Glow.” (Tip: Be sure to leave time before or after your treatments for the spa’s steam shower, sauna, and its Kohler deluge shower that comes with nine separate jets, mood lighting, and music. The spa also has a relaxation lounge with magazines, herbal teas, snacks, and fruit-infused water.)

Post spa, book  a romantic dinner at the hotel’s signature restaurant Sixteen with its massive Swarovski-crystal chandelier (inspired by Ivanka Trump) and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer picture-perfect views of the Chicago Tribune Building and other iconic buildings in the Windy City, as well as delicious menu items from celebrated chef Frank Brunacci, including halibut on a bed of truffle-bacon risotto. (Sixteen also has tasting menus with wine pairings that are worth every penny. From my experience, I found the restaurant’s sommelier to be brilliant at matching Brunacci’s creations with some of the world’s best wines.)

After dinner, retreat back to your room where the hotel’s turn-down service will leave heated neck and eye pillows on your bed.

The next morning, start the day off right and head to the fitness center (on the same floor as the spa) with views of the Chicago River, or take a swim in the spa’s 75-foot heated indoor pool. Finish with an in-room yoga or meditation session and breakfast in bed and you may never want to leave your room again.
