Best Chocolate Shops in Orange County

Valentine’s Day is less than a month away – are you ready???

Well ready or not, I’ve compiled a list of the best places in Orange County to get that perfect box of chocolate or bouquet of lollipop roses!

The Chocolate Soldier, Dana Point (map) and Laguna Beach (map)

Mouthwatering handmade truffles, melt-aways, turtles, and more.  There are viewing windows all around the kitchen so you can actually watch the chocolates being made!

Luisa Chocolatiere, Laguna Hills (map)

Not just a chocolate store, but a chocolate house, Luis Chocolatiere has the most unique gift I’ve seen yet – an edible chocolate box with chocolates inside!  These boxes are priced from $9-48, and would make a tasty gift for your Valentine this year!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, various locations in Orange County

The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory carries the traditional truffle boxes for $11.50 – 49.95, but also has a “Favorites Basket” which contains 2 lbs. of chocolates including assorted chocolates, English toffee, a milk chocolate bar, and a pound of fudge.

My favorite is their caramel apples, which are covered with caramel and a variety of toppings including cheesecake, Snickers, and pecans, to name a few.

See’s Candies, various locations in Orange County

Although this is a nationwide chain, it is a definite favorite of mine that I didn’t discover until I moved to California.  With everything from prepackaged heart and teddy bear shaped boxes of chocolates, candy lollipops, foil chocolate hearts, and custom boxes, See’s is a great choice.

Prices range from $5.25 (“Red Mini Assortment) to $132 (4 lbs. and over 95 pieces of candy in the “Red Romantic Heart).

Godiva Chocolatier, various locations in Orange County

Mostly chocolate lollipops and boxed candy, you can get smaller boxes with 6-12 pieces or get larger boxes with 40 or 70 pieces of high quality chocolate.

Prices range from $15 (6-8 pieces) to $90 (40 piece “Romantic Heart Assortment”).
