Unfasten Your Belts…Restaurant Week
If one of your New Year resolutions is to try something new, Restaurant Week is for you. From January 17 to Friday January 22, 2010, you will be able to indulge yourself at a restaurant you have always wanted to try at an incredible price. For a three-course prix fixe menu for just $20, $30 or $40 per person depending on the restaurant, it’s a great deal. Whether it is Ethic, American, Fusion or our very own California Cuisine that you crave, there is something for everyone during Restaurant Week! If you’ve ever dreamed of dining al fresco at the beach one evening, chilling at the latest new urban bistro downtown the next, followed by the hottest hipster location in the Heights, or a North County romantic eatery and finishing it all by indulging in one this city’s most fabulous five-star restaurants – now here is your chance!
I was able to attend a Sneak Peek at and sample the menu for Restaurant Week. The restaurant is across from the Oceanside Pier so a sunset dinner sounds fabulous. Enjoy an early Valentine’s Day with reservations at 760-433-3333. Executive Chef Matthew Briggs blends flavors from the Asian culture with seafood specialties and and Chef Briggs claims, “take your steak surfing”. The staff and manager were extremely friendly and warm. The miso salmon was cooked to perfection on a bed of baby bok choy and julienned carrots. Just when you think that you can’t another bite, the staff allows you some time to sit and chat before bringing out the desserts, which were so scrumptious. Located at the Wyndham Hotel you can find complimentary underground parking (entrance on N. Meyers).

Restaurant Week is as simple to participate in as calling to make reservations at any of the participating locations, no tickets or special passes are required, just simply dine out during the week of January 17 through the 22.
