3 Seattle Hotels on World’s Best List

Travelers wanting the best of the best in Seattle want to take note of three Washington hotels that have been named to Travel + Leisure’s list of the 500 World’s Best Hotels.

The full list, which can be found in the magazine’s January edition, is compiled from information from hundreds of thousands of readers, and staying at any of them is sure to deliver a great experience.  You’ll find rooftop bars with spectacular views, fabulous onsite restaurants, local cultural experience, and amenities that will make you wish you lived there.

Here are the three Washington hotels that made the top 500:

Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle – One of the grand dames of the Seattle hotel scene, the Fairmont Olympic’s location at 411 University Street (map) is central to all that’s happening in the downtown core.  You are footsteps away from some of the finest restaurants and shopping, and a short walk to the Pike Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, and Safeco Field.  The hotel is a perennial on the world’s best list.

Hotel 1000 – A newcomer to the best list, and a relative newcomer to Seattle, Hotel 1000 boasts its tech credentials in its amenities, from virtual golf to to tech friendly rooms.  Conveniently located at 1000 1st Avenue (map), you’re just just down the street from the Pike Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, and Pioneer Square.

Inn at Langley – Heading a little to the north, the Inn at Langley on Whidbey Island (map), is a perfect escape from the stress of the city.  Craftsman-style architecture and impressive waterfront views are the backdrop for rooms packed full of upscale amenities.  The property’s attention to details makes for a wonderful weekend away.

With the opening of so many new hotels over the past year, I think we’ll be seeing some additional properties making next year’s list.
