City of Sydney Council Helps You Achieve Your Green New Year’s Resolutions
Have you made your New Year’s resolutions yet? It’s not too late! If you’re stuck for inspiration, how about these green ideas?

Recycle more: Don’t just stop at cans and plastic bottles. Remember to recycle your garden off cuts and Christmas tree. City of Sydney will be collecting garden waste and real Christmas trees (no plastic ones please) on January 27. Call 9265 9333 to make sure they stop by your house.
Start cycling: we all enjoy a bike ride, but many folks get a little nervous about getting out on the city streets. Thankfully the City of Sydney is running free cycling courses through February and March designed to improve your confidence. There are also bike maintenance courses to help keep your ride in tip-top condition. You can sign up for the riding course here and the maintenance course here.
Live sustainably: So many of us recycle and carry green bags to the supermarket, but what about doing something more? If you want to really go green this year, sign up for one of the City of Sydney’s free sustainability workshops. You could learn how to compost, build a worm farm, garden, detox your home, and make your house more energy and water efficient. To secure your place call The Watershed on 95196366.
