- Imagine having the many resources of a CVB in your hand (actually on your phone.) The Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB has unveiled their ivisitlauderdale
iPhone app. Available for download at either iTunes or at the CVB’s website, this app features an overview of the area’s attractions, must-see points of interest and much more. - Benchmark Hospitality International announced its pet-friendly policy for its properties. Included in this policy, the hotels and resorts will be offering such amenities as a welcoming bag of treats, a pet menu and information on where pets can be walked on the property, as well as pet-friendly nearby parks.
- And while speaking about Benchmark Hospitality International, the company has added some new properties to their portfolio. Regionally, these include Hotel Granduca (Houston – map), Marenas Resort (Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. – map), and Villas of Grand Cypress Resort (Orlando – map).
- Congratulations to both The Chattanoogan (map) in Tennessee and Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center (map) in Glen Allen for receiving the AAA Four-Diamond designation. This is Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel’s sixth consecutive year of receiving this honor and the second year for The Chattanoogan.
- Parrot Key Hotel and Resort in Key West, Fla., (map) has expanded their amenities and accommodation offerings. The property now has king and double guestrooms, and deluxe king and deluxe king/queen suites. This is in addition to two-and-three-bedroom guest cottages. Amenities include a new fitness center.
