What’s Next In Boston? Winter 2010

Lots of events are coming to Boston in early 2010.  Lately, the buzz around town is all about the” hockey rink inside the baseball park “. The ” 2010 NHL Classic”, with the Boston Bruins taking on the Philadelpia Flyers will be played on an outdoor ice rink built inside Fenway Park (4 Yawkey Way, Boston) (Map) on New Year’s Day 2010. 3439315286_1ee1c4da13

Paris may have “soldes”,  but Boston has “bah-gains”.  Mark your calendars for the city-wide winter shopping sales scheduled for January 16-January 18, February 13-14 and February 20-22, as well as March 13-14, 2010.

The Boston City Pass has always  offered tremendous value. For just $44 adults and $28 kids, the pass offers admission to the New England Aquarium, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Science and the Prudential Skywalk as well as a choice of either the Harvard Museum of Natural History or the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and is normally valid for nine days . This winter, City Pass is even better, allowing visitors the opportunity to use the tickets in their booklet over the entire winter season- until February 28, 2010.

The Beanpot is a big deal. Every February, the  Harvard, Boston University, Northeastern and Boston College hockey teams face off at the Boston Garden (100 Legends Way)(Map) in this local tournament for  Boston hockey bragging rights . The  2010 tournament dates are Monday, February 1 and Monday, February 8 and tickets are available now at Ticketmaster.   Go Northeastern!

The Boston Flower show returns! After a 1-year hiatus, the Boston Flower & Garden show is back with a new format and new location. This year, the Boston Flower Show will be held March 24-March 28, 2010 at the Seaport  World Trade Center (1 Seaport Lane, Boston)(Map).
