DC’s Cherry Blossom Parade Tickets on Sale
One of the highlights of the annual National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC is the colorful National Cherry Blossom Parade down Constitution Avenue.
Tickets for bleacher seating are now on sale for $17.00, but you can attend the parade and watch for free from the curb anywhere along the mile-long route.
Watch as floats, giant colorful balloons, Military drill teams and bands, school marching bands, horses and riders, and other entertainers match down Constitution Avenue in an energy-filled parade of music and fun.
And watch for the 2010 Cherry Blossom Queens riding on their beautifully flower-decorated float.
The parade and annual festival recalls the 1912 gift of cherry trees from Japan that still surround the Tidal Basin and dot the entire National Mall area.
The parade travels along the Constitution Avenue from 7th Street to 17th Street, passing the Washington Monument, the White House, the National Archives, and a couple Smithsonian Museums.
Crowds can get 3-6 people deep in most places along the route so it’s smart to secure your location early.
