Sophisticated Summer Sweet Treats at Gelato Messina

Ice-cream may always be a summer staple, but gelato is steadily gaining ground. And why not? It’s a little kinder on the hips with less than 12% fat, but with so many delicious flavours available it still feels decadent.gelato

If you take your gelato seriously, you need to make a visit to Gelato Messina. There are more than 40 flavours made fresh each day, so it can be pretty difficult to choose. Chocolate fondant and pistachio praline are fairly traditional options, but I’m most intrigued by the gourmet offerings like poached figs in marsala, pandan and coconut, and pear and rhubarb! If you needed more choice, you can also snaffle sorbet in refreshing summer choices like passionfruit and mandarin. Celebrating a birthday? Then why not try something different and take home a gelato cake? The thought of the cherry and pistachio zuccutto and cherry-topped black forest cake has my mouth watering.

You might think you know about gelato, but you don’t know the half of it until you visit Gelato Messina.
