Best of Orange County – Best Yoga Studios
“Best of” is the newest feature on Planet Eye Traveler, which you will be able to find across the different cities each week.
This week’s Best of Orange County features the best yoga studios that you can go to for a de-stressing after all the holiday buzz!

With several locations in Orange County (also in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York), and tons of classes everyday, you are sure to find a class/style that you like. The Costa Mesa studio is the largest with the most classes, the Huntington and Laguna Beach locations are almost across the street from the beach, and the Newport location is right across from Fashion Island, a major shopping mall.

Good for: all styles, a different yoga workout

CorePower Yoga has a beginner class, a heated intermediate class, and some unique classes that you won’t find at many other studios, such as Hot Power Fusion, Yoga Sculpt, and a Yoga-Pilates class.
*Bikram Yoga
Good For: Bikram (hot) yoga

Specials for new students: 2 weeks unlimited for $29! A great deal since one class is $17.
Bikram is a 90 minute practice of 26 postures in a heated room. The first time I did Bikram, I sweated profusely, so bring a towel and plenty of water. I also recommend wearing as little clothing as possible. Don’t worry about being self-concious – almost everyone wears shorts (for men) or shorts and a sports bra top (for women).
