A Jazzy Hip Hop Spin on the Classic Nutcracker
Momentum Dance Theatre’s Jazz Hip Hop Nutcracker is an exciting and original annual dance theater production putting a contemporary spin on the classic holiday Nutcracker story.
Two children, both having a bit of trouble fitting in with their peers, meet during a holiday party, share their problems and hopes, and then receive special gifts from the cool wizard guy, Mr. D.
They take their gifts and create a show, all from their imaginations. They later discover that change for the good can happen.
Joining the dozen professional dancer and instructors from Momentum Dance in the production are 22 local area dance students, many returning form previous performances in the annual show.
Expect some fun hot jazz, Hip Hop, house, popping, salsa, and break dancing with some great music to accompany them, in this 10th Anniversary holiday show.
